I am a junior at Twin Lakes High School. I have a 3.4 GPA and am pursuing a business degree in Sports Management. My immediate goals after high school are to attend college where I can play golf and work towards my degree. The golf program I am looking for would include, solid players seeking that next great shot, encouraging coaches who love the game, team scores worthy of championships and an overall positive environment in which to play hard and build lasting friendships.
I have played many sports in and out of school. I started with soccer at age four. I have played basketball, volleyball, tennis, softball and competed in swimming and track and field events. I chose to focus on golf because it has both an individual and team component. I just finished my fourth consecutive year playing golf competitively. I was recognized as the Most Improved player on our team this year and received a Varsity letter. I also was named All-Hoosier Conference Honorable Mention. Our team won Sectional and Hoosier Conference. As the season concluded, the subject of playing golf in college became more real and attainable. I have started with a swing coach this fall and have a goal to significantly lower my 18-hole average. I will be the only returning senior on our Varsity team in 2018.
I am a member of Key Club, where I volunteer at various community events. I am on the Executive Council for Dance Marathon, where all of the proceeds go to Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. In Unified Track, we were paired up with Special Needs students from our school to compete in Track and Field events against area schools. I enjoy helping others and supporting community causes. I look forward to bringing my smile, positive personality and determination for success to my next golf team.
