At a young age golf became a major part of my life, my love of the game and hardworking attitude towards it make me a prime candidate for coaches looking for a determined athlete. Not being born with the God-given talent to swing the club I had to work for everything I wanted to succeed in on the course, which is why I worked harder, spent more time trying to perfect my mistakes, and took the time to understand the game itself. I first got started playing when I was 8 years old in a program called The First Tee. The national program teaches the youth core values to have in life such as respect, integrity, and responsibility plus the ability to learn about the great game. Going through this program for almost 10 years I have learned some of the most important things a young child could ever learn and have carried those moral values with me throughout my high school career, one being the ability to respect fellow competitors, the golf facilities I have been so lucky to play at, and most importantly myself. Being a golfer made me a better person and gave me a chance to do something I loved almost all year round. My hope is to find a college and a coach that continues to teach me things I have yet to learn and to push me harder to be the best for them, the team, and myself.
