Jillian Rowe '19 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to excel highly in both academics and golf by leveraging my passion and focused skills.  I enjoy team environments and serve as a leader in ensuring the team excels in competition in addition to personal relationships, creating a cohesive yet dynamic environment.  My character and achievements are very important to me.   I began playing golf with my father at age 7 and wrote the following poem in 5th grade at 10 years old: 

"I am a golfer. I wonder if I will hit well. I hear a silent audience.  I see wet dew green grass. I want to smack this ball. I am a golfer."

"I pretend I hit a million yards. I feel great about this hit. I touch the club. I worry about looking up. I cry inside my fear. I am a golfer."

"I understand what to do. I say I can do this. I dream to hit the ball. I try to believe in myself. I hope to do this. I am a golfer."

My passion developed early for golf through my family. I am excited to have so much passion for a sport I will play for the rest of my life.
