I have been taking golf lessons since I was seven and have been playing competitively for five years. This will be my fourth year to play on the Varsity Golf Team and my second year as the LHS Golf Team Captain. I have studied American Karate for 13 years and worked my way up 36 belt levels to a first degree brown belt. I have been teaching karate students (youth - adult) for the past three years and I am scheduled to take my black belt test this fall. This is my 13th year of Girl Scouts, Ambassador level. I am currently working on my Gold Award Project, which is the highest award that can be earned in Girl Scouts. In addition I am a member of my city's Youth Action Council, working closely with our City Council on youth oriented projects and events. My academic goal is an Anthropology degree with a minor in Archaeology because I believe that learning more about human societies, cultures and their evolution will allow me to better contribute to society as a whole.
