Emma Yale '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing lacrosse since I was in third grade, and as I developed into the person and athlete I am now I realized how much joy and passion I have for the game. I have learned what it means to be apart of a team and how to individually push yourself for the betterment of the team. I want to play in college among others who share the same passion for the game and their academics. Lacrosse has taught me how to effectively work and communicate with others, manage my time, and be a leader among my peers. 

I am goal oriented and work hard to reach these goals. I have strong stick skills and field vision that allow me to set myself and my teammates up on the field. I lead by example both on and off the field, but over the past few years as I have found my confidence in both I have found my voice on the field, and I am always looking to encourage and build up my teammates.  I am very coachable and respond well to feedback and constructive criticism.  I’m always looking for ways to grow on and off the field. 

I balance schoolwork and athletics well.  I have a full schedule with all honors and AP classes, while maintaining a high GPA(we go by percentile).  I also participate in  extra curricular such as Leadership Team (Student Council), Co-Historian, Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, Key Club and volunteer within my community through service events as well as coach little lax. 

I am looking for a university and a coach/team that will challenge me in the classroom as well as on the field.  I look forward to finding the right fit for me both on and off the field,  while getting to play against the highest level of competition so that I can continue to grow.
