Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Bryleigh Tejchman. I am currently enrolled in Saint Mary’s Ryken High School and I currently play club lacrosse for the Southern Maryland Jets. I am dominantly an attacker, but I am also flexible to play midfield as well as defense. I started playing lacrosse in third grade and I quickly grew a strong love for this sport.  Throughout my 8 years of playing lacrosse, I have developed many strong skills that have helped my progress. As a left handed player, I have gotten very comfortable in my right hand and I continue to strive to become more dominant in my off hand. Once I reach the collegiate level I would like to play on a strong lacrosse team that will challenge my skill and help me grow. I am a leader Both on and off the field and help if someone is uncertain of something. I have a very competitive nature and I put everything into the games. My coaches have told me I am a very coachable player and willing to adapt to new circumstances. As I continue my college search I hope to play at a school that will challenge me athletically and academically.
