Gabriela Gonzales '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Gabriela Gonzales and I am currently a junior at Kennedy High School in La Palma CA.  I am part of the IB program and currently hold a 4.0 GPA. I am looking forward to playing college soccer at a competitive level.  My academic goal is to obtain a bachelors degree in biology with an ultimate goal  to attain a career in the medical field. 

I have played club soccer since the age of 9. The positions I play include right/left mid, CAM, holding mid,  and right/left back. Our team was selected to play in the SCNSL league. We also participated in showcases in Chicago, Illinois as well in Salt Lake City, Utah. My team was selected to play in the San Diego 2021 Surf Cup College Showcase. In addition,  my team is part of the So Cal NPL/Discovery league and currently ranks top 3 in our division.  

 I ensure that I make time to train for soccer on a daily basis to enhance my skills and become a better player. My drive and self-motivation is what separates me from other players because I don't just work hard on the field but off the field as well. Furthermore, on the field I am a great playmaker who's capable of opening up the game for my team.  I possess the skills, physicality, work ethic, and intelligence to become a great addition to any college team roster.
