Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Madison Bowling, and some of my collegiate goals/ aspirations would have to be to continue my love for soccer beyond high school. Although many people choose to stop their career after high school, ever since I was little, I have wanted to play in college. I have been playing soccer for a little over 10 years, and there is nothing I am more passionate about than this sport. I believe I could be a good candidate for any team because I am experienced, goal-driven, and determined  to grow and develop as both an athletic individual, and an academic individual. My parents always pushed me to finish everything I start, so with that, I do not believe soccer stops after high school. Every day, I try to push myself to my fullest potential, and strive for greatness no matter what it is I am doing. Unlike other recruits, I will continue to push myself to be a better individual on and off the field every single day. I also am in the top 40% of my grade for academics, and I have been enrolled in gifted classes since elementary school, so that also sets me apart from the rest. Although I am very passionate about soccer, my academics have also always been a top priority of mine.

Soccer to me is more than just an obligation that I have to tend to after school every day. Soccer is like a second home to me. The home soccer creates for me is something unlike any other, and hopefully, in college, I will be able to form new bonds with new people, all while pushing myself to be the best version of myself I can be.
