Riley Phillips '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5’8” defender from Murrysville, PA (c/o '23) and I started every game of my freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons at Center Back for Franklin Regional - Varsity.  We made the playoffs every year and I played almost every minute of all three seasons.  I never want to come out of the game!    

My goal is to play college soccer at the highest level possible while also attending a great academic institution.  I worked really hard this year to improve my GPA to help turn that goal into a reality.  My cumulative GPA is now 4.2 and I'm hoping to continue to show improvement during my senior year.  

I recently committed to Pittsburgh Riverhounds RDA - ECNL for my U18 club season after spending the past few years with BVB International Academy Pittsburgh and Century FC.  I will continue to play primarily at Center Back (also Defensive Midfield) and I'm really excited for the new challenge!  

As the oldest of four children and a leader of my high school and club back-line, I feel I have the confidence, competitiveness, and the leadership skills to be a successful college soccer player and teammate.
