Personal Statement

"Senior Spotlight" - Written and shared by Matt Chorley, MD-DC-VA Regional Club Coach (Oct 2022)

"Spotlight on Senior Sarah Rader.   This Senior is without a doubt the best natural player I was blessed to watch over the years.  Unfortunately I had to play against her in the beginning and she would hat trick every match.  I watched her grow to the point where I was judging a juggling contest once and Sarah had gotten 1500 juggles with both feet and all the College players dropped out.  She is the most dominating player on the pitch no matter where she plays and against any level and does it with great Character, Integrity and Work ethic.  Best of luck Sarah as you continue your soccer journey.  You will do very very well and continue to be the champion we love!"

Team Captain, positive attitude, strong composure, leader and vocal on the field, very much a team player.  Comfortable playing all positions; Willing to walk on and earn my place on a team.

I come from a family of athletes (my mother was a dancer and my father played football, wrestling, baseball).  My older sister, Kate, is a college cheerleader for Shepherd University and my twin brother, Ryan, is a Varsity athlete in football and track. I play every game with grit and passion for my younger sister, Emma, who passed away at the age of 7 and was never able to walk or play sports.

I have played on many underdog teams from a young age and have consistently helped both my club and high school teams build winning records including tournament championships, and becoming state finalists. I will be one of the most dedicated players you have ever had. Thank you for considering me!
