Personal Statement
As a five year old on a recreational swim team, I never imagined the great impact the sport would have on my life, let alone become the passion and driving force behind everything I do. I learn much more than the skill of swimming with every practice I attend. My coaches are not only teachers, but mentors; my team mates are not only peers, but close friends. This is what I will strive to continue throughout my collegiate career. I have earned awards involving both my swimming ability and academic ability, such as the All Conference Award and Scholar Athlete Award. My goals are forever expanding within my sport and far beyond it.
