Why is tennis important to me?
Tennis taught me to manage my time between academic work and athletics. It allowed me to set goals which I was able to push myself to achieve. I had never played tennis before my freshman year but with my dedication and proactively seeking opportunities for improvement in the off season, I was able to make my way to the Panther’s top doubles position my junior year and the second singles position my senior year. Over my four years as a member of the team, my leadership skills strengthened and I was unanimously voted team captain my final season.
