Tyra Poole '18 Recruiting Profile

Dear potential college track Coach,

My name is Tyra Poole and I am a Senior as Walton High School, located in Marietta, GA.  I would like to thank you for taking the time to view my recruiting profile.  My college academic goals are to earn a B.A. Degree and then pursue my major degree in Animal Science, business or both.  I would like to use my degrees to someday open my own business.  I was a USATF Junior Olympic performer in the 400m and am a 4x state qualifier.  I was also the State Champion for the Private 1A 400m dash in 2016.  My dad is a 14-year NFL Veteran and 2x Super Bowl Champion, who has instilled an understanding to what it takes to grind for success.  I feel I would be a great fit for your program because of my work ethic, dedication and love for sprinting.  I also know how to map out my races, especially in the 400m and 200m.  I am a team player, but with individual goals.  I feel I am a high character individual and I believe life is about helping yourself and other to become the best mentally, spiritually and physically.  I struggle early on my grades but academics are very, very important to me.  I am a student first.
