I have been in track for six years, and working on my seventh. I had started track in fifth grade with AAU as unattached. After that, I had joined USA track and field with West Side Track Club. I participated in both years of middle school tack, and every year of my high school. Track is something I plan on going to college for. It is my passion and it is very important to me. School and grades are also very important to me.
I am 5'3" and weigh 120. The fastest I have been able to run (being recorded) is 19 mph. The fastest I have been able to run a 100 meter is a high 12 seconds. I am a sprinter, long jumper, and hurdler. I also love relay teams and running the curves on 200 meters and other relays. Other events that are not in high school track and field that i have successfully experienced are javelin and the tripplejump. I can do just about anything the coach wants me to because of my wide-variety of talents and learning abilities. I am a very hard worker and listener. I practice what the coach gives me and accept any challenge given including workouts , goals, and meets. I have already accomplished some of my goals and plan on accomplishing even more this year. I plan on running faster and getting stronger.
Some of my goals include making it to state in all of my events once again, and shortening up my time to a lower 12 second range. I would like to place first at state in the 100 hurdles and jump over 16 feet in the long jump. I have been able to in practices but have had difficulties accomplishing that at meets. Another goal of mine is placing even higher at state in the open 100.
I am looking for a college that will give me best the support, and will help me greatly in track and my future career.I prefer a college in a region the is either relatable to Iowa, or warmer. I am not picky on how far away from home it will be. I am a Christian, but I am not necessarily looking for a Christian college. The only thing I am looking for is it's ethics, moral, and most importantly classes and the track team.
While going through middle school and part of high school, I have had a very strong interest in Physical therapy and athletic training. I want to help athletes, and people who have been injured hands-on. I love helping people, and I absolutely love planning workouts and helping people stretch. I have been in sports all my life and have learned several different techniques, stretches, and workouts.
