Personal Statement

Running at the collegiate level has been a dream of mine for a while now, so... naturally I aspire to be a NCAA sprinter on a competitive collegiate team. I love to run, compete and be part of a team environment.

I continually strive to be the best athlete possible and always try to improve my sprinting skills and times. I have positive relationships with my coaches and team members and will do whatever is required of me. Working smart and hard are some of my greatest qualities.

I am very focused and have a disciplined attitude, which will help me grow as an athlete. I’m a natural team player, who enjoys training and bonding with others.

I’m determined to do whatever it takes in athletics and academics - while constantly challenging myself, which I plan to continue at the collegiate level.

Finished 20th in the 100m with a time = 13.07 running into a head wind (was seeded 25th). My 4*100 relay team placed 6th with time=49.54. My 4*200 relay team finished 6th and broke the school record with time=1:43.75. My 4*400 relay team finished 19th with time=4:06.97. The 4*100 & 4*200 relay events were considered All-State since we finished in the top 8. It was a very good day for me and our track team. Not certain if Howell girls ever finished 2 relays in the top 8 of the state.

Regional champion in the 100m with a time = 12.90. My 4*100 relay team placed 2nd and broke the school record with time=49.50, my 4*200 relay team finished 2nd and broke the school record with time=1:43.86 and my 4*400 relay team finished 3rd with time=4:02.89. Qualified for States in all 4 events. Amazing day overall, but strong S wind for 1st part of the meet.
