Personal Statement

Throughout my middle school and high school years so far, sports have been a very important part of my life and continue to be an important part of my life. I am very dedicated to my sports; I compete all year round, swimming in the winter and summer, running cross country in the fall, and running track in the spring. I work very hard in every practice and every competition; I strive to do my best and execute each workout in a way that will contribute to mine and my team's success and mold me into a better athlete. My coaches have distinguished me as a particularly hard working athlete among the others on my teams. I am also a very tough competitor mentally. I always try to have my mind in the right place especially when I am competing or completing a tough workout. Very often my strong, proper mentality helps me to excel over others during competitions.  Aside from athletics, I receive high grades in the classroom. I take challenging Honors and AP courses and I work very hard in these classes to receive high grades and learn a lot from my teachers and classmates.

In college, I plan to continue to work hard in both the academic and athletic areas. I will strive for high grades in collegiate courses and work very hard on all my assignments. It is also very important to me to continue my athletic success in college and possibly after college. I will work very hard in each practice and competition on a collegiate team. I will be willing to rise to the challenge of participating in collegiate athletics; I also hope to be a teammate who is encouraging to the others on my team and who will strive to make my other teammates better in addition to myself.  I will always put forth my best effort in every competition for the sake of my own success and for the sake of my team's success.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
