As a collegiate athlete, I want to be able to find a healthy balance between my studies and sports. I have always enjoyed the team aspect of being involved in sports, even in track where competition is individual. I enjoy being coached and I accept criticism to try to better not only myself, but the entire team. In my experience with sports, I have usually assumed the position of being a leader. I enjoy helping lead the team to be the best it can be. Personally speaking, I have always had a very competitive spirit and enjoyed pushing myself to achieve desired results. I have had the ability to take advantage of a very special co-op team. I go to Brandywine Heights High School, but my school does not have a track team, therefore we partner with the neighboring school district. I run track for Kutztown Area High School. Versatility is very important to me so outside of my normal hurdle races, so I also participate in the 1600 meter relay. I have competed in the county championship in my freshman, sophomore, and junior years. I have been able to place in the country championships in both my personal and relay events.
