A goal of mine since I started playing volleyball has been to play post-secondary. I am one of or if not the hardest-working player on the court. I was not gifted with height, so every time I play I prove that height doesn't matter. I have always been able to bond with my teammates and I have picked up a leadership role on every team I've played for - captain of my club and high school team -. I'm a motivated and mentally strong athlete and student. I received female athlete of the year in 2019-2020 and again in 2021-2022.
Over the years I have played up to 10 different sports. Growing up I did a lot of individual sports and over the years I started to play team sports. I fell in love with the dynamic and atmosphere of being part of a team because one is not just fighting and playing for themselves anymore, it is for your teammates as well. The 11 years of playing a variety of sports have definitely shaped me as an athlete and as a person. I've been able to develop social skills and mental toughness.
Volleyball is the love of my life and it brings out the most passion and motivation in me. I believe I am a good fit for the left side and libero position, I feel in love with creating the unexpected when hitting and the satisfaction that comes along with it. However, I am willing to play any position one believes I can best contribute to a team. My main position is a six-rotation left side and I train up to 4 times a week in the gym trying to increase my vertical, as well as 4-5 times training on the court. I'm 5 foot 6 inches and have a 9-foot 2-inch approach jump, with a standing reach of 7 foot 2 inches, and a block touch of 8 foot 8 inches. With all the time I put into my sports, I still always put academics first.
