Maya Patel '20 Recruiting Profile

Personal:  Learning is one of my strongest passions. Discovering something new always excites me, whether it be a a serious concept or a trivial fact. Because of this enthusiasm for education, I am looking for a school that will help facilitate my desire to play collegiate volleyball while receiving extraordinary schooling. I aspire to major in a field of science that will prepare me for medical school. While I throughly enjoy participating in a classroom setting, I also plan to expand my education through a study abroad program while I am an undergraduate. On the court, I intend to be a dynamic and dedicated competitor for whichever program I am apart of. I cannot wait to immerse myself in the competition that is involved in the collegiate level. I will strive to bring my quickness, physicality, high volleyball IQ, and enthusiasm to the volleyball program. Above all, I will show good sportsmanship on and off the court, with the knowledge that my actions reflect upon my team, coaches, and college. When not exercising or studying, I love visiting museums, reading, traveling, and playing the violin. While my work ethic can speak for itself, I believe that my leadership, articulation, and genuine nature will be great assets to any institution that I am apart of.
