I consider myself a dynamic volleyball player; an athlete who demonstrates confidence, leadership and aggressiveness on the court. I am the eldest of five. Me and my siblings are involved in many community activities which include sporting events, church youth group, mentoring programs and various other volunteer programs. Currently, I am a Junior at St Mary’s High School (Stockton, California). I play outside, right side, middle blocker/hitter as well as back row. We ended our 2017 season with a record of 7-2 in the TCAL league (TCAL Champions). In 2018, we finished our season at 8-1 (TCAL Champions), advancing to regional and state finals. As a third-year player on the Varsity team, I continue to contribute to Saint Mary's High School volleyball's winning season. We are expected to have another great year in the 2019-20 season as well.
In addition, I currently play for Saint Mary's High School Sand Volleyball team as well as RAGE Volleyball Club (Ripon, CA) outside of high school. I have been with RAGE volleyball club for the past 5 years and contributed to RAGE’s winning seasons at different tournaments. With my current team, RAGE 16-1 (Garren), we secured an Open Bid to compete in the 2019 Nationals.
Following Nationals in Indy, I traveled to Samoa this past July as part of the American Samoa National Women's Volleyball Team to compete at the 2019 Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa! We competed against over 20 other countries from the South Pacific region. The American Samoa National Women’s Volleyball Team placed 4th overall, just shy of the bronze/silver medal competition. This was an opportunity of a lifetime to be able to compete on this amazing platform against other athletes from across the world!
As a student-athlete, I am very serious about my education and currently have a 4.2 GPA. My current course load includes honors courses (Spanish III Honors) and AP courses (US History AP, Calculus AP).
I am a Junior in high school (Class of 2021) with big dreams and high goals that I know I must work hard for. My number one priority is to excel academically. Second, I want to continue perfecting my skills on the court. Ultimately, I want to use what I love (volleyball) to be a role model for my fellow Pacific Islanders (Samoan). To achieve these things, I must continue being active, attending developmental camps, maintaining a good attitude so that I am prepared and ready for an opportunity at the next level.
