Megan MacKinney '20 Recruiting Profile

Volleyball has been a major part of my life since I was 9 years old and I am passionate about the game. I take pride in showing my best self on and off the court and also helping my teammates to improve throughout the season.  During the entire year, in school ball and club ball, I strive to increase my skills through training and discipline.  Volleyball has taught me how to work well with others and also shows me how I can improve myself.  I am diligent about developing my strengths and improving my weaknesses every day and always give 100% when I’m on the court.

As a student athlete, I strive to excel in my education while also playing the sport I love, balancing the demands of both.  Throughout the years of playing volleyball during the entire school year, I have proven that I am hard-working and make the effort to maintain my grades and improve them, going the extra mile when needed. I’m interested in playing collegiate level volleyball while pursuing my degree in nursing. I’m not afraid to work hard on the court and in the classroom.  I don’t settle for average in the classroom, so why would I on the court?
