Personal Statement

There's nothing I want more than to be able to continue playing college volleyball. I've had to move many times and to different states but my desire and drive has never changed. I work hard during the off season by going to the gym, lifting weights, and skill set/agility training. I play hard every moment in a game or in practice. I run winter and spring track to stay in shape and improve my ability to react to the ball quicker. I have improved tremendously playing JUCO volleyball, and I continue to increase my skill sets when out of season. I believe my drive to win and my hatred of losing is key to my being a skilled player. I have heart and talent and the drive to compete with anyone and not back down. Volleyball is not just a game or a sport event, its a lifestyle that I am good at and want to continue getting better. God has given me this love for volleyball, and I play to win.

Won 4 of 6 tournaments, took second in another...participated in National Tournament in Indianapolis
2011 Southern IL Select VC (16A)
Staring libero. Serve recieved 75-80% of the balls served. Made 95% of my serves. Took 1st in all 6 turnaments except one where we tied for 2nd place.
2010 White Tank Mountain VC AZ (16)
Changed clubs due to location and coaching. Learned to jump serve during this season as well as reading the ball more accuratley. Also starting libero.
2009 Saguaros AZ (16A)
Starting libero. Played with girls a year older than I. Had an overall good season.
2008 Saguaros IL (15B)
First year introduced to club volleyball. Was simply learning the flow of it.
