Hello. My name is Jamison Hopewell and I am in the Class of 2022 at Forest Hills Northern in Grand Rapids, MI. I am interested in playing indoor volleyball and/or beach volleyball.
I started volleyball going into my 7th-grade year. I have played for Michigan Volleyball Academy, FaR Out Volleyball, and Saints Juniors. I have always been one of the shorter hitters on my team but that has never stopped me from believing that I am too short for the game. I primarily play Opposite/Middle but I have played every position. I am looking for somewhere to grow more as a volleyball player and become more of a leader. I am not afraid to take risks and mess up. I often find myself asking questions also. I work hard on the court and off the court and always put as much effort in as I can. I work well with others and I am a very spirited and positive person.
In academics, I am in my school's Spanish Immersion Program hoping to get my Michigan Seal of Biliteracy. I have taken 3 AP classes and have been in 3 honors classes. My grade-point average is 3.0. I have also participated in Rotary Interact, Student Government, Photography club, and Diversity Club. I have done stage crew also for 2 years. Other sports that I have played are track and field, soccer, and beach volleyball.
