Thank you for viewing my profile!
I began playing volleyball when I was 11 years old and have been trying to become the best player I can be ever since. In discovering my love for volleyball, I have continued to learn more about myself and grow as a player and as a person. I have been told that I have excellent court awareness and that I have a way of motivating my team with positive energy. I have also been told that I am my own worst critic, and playing volleyball with my teammates has taught me how to focus on playing for them, not just for myself. I believe that the high-energy, leadership, and persistence that I bring helps me to be a good fit for any team.
Regarding my academics, I’m working toward achieving my AA degree by high school graduation. I have maintained a 3.9 GPA while taking AP and college level courses through Anoka Ramsey Community College. Although I do not have my heart set on a major or career just yet, I am passionate about environmental conservation and certain social issues. I also enjoy singing the National Anthem before high school sporting events. My favorite high school memory so far was beating our long time rival Totino Grace in a 22-20 5th set victory in our very last home game of the season!
Volleyball has truly taught me a lot about myself and it has brought new people into my life that have had a huge impact on me and my volleyball and academic careers.
