Allison Friel '13 Recruiting Profile

I'm Alli Friel. I have loved to play volleyball since I was little. My mom is the JV coach at our school and that's what got me interested in volleyball in the first place. I am very quick and can jump pretty high for my height (5'7"). I have been competing since 2006 as a sixth grader (7 years). My freshmen year (2009) I made starting varsity and have held my position ever since. I've always had a feel for the court and was pleased that my coach selected me team captain this year. I am a hard worker, always getting to the gym before practice and staying after to improve my skills. I watch our game films on my own time to learn from my mistakes , and those of others. It is my dream to play  sports in college, so I am working my hardest to get there. I would like to attend school in the western states so I am not too far away from home. I am from a small town with a small school so I would prefer a smaller school, but I also love to have many friends. I am looking for a school where I can play sports and pursue veterinary courses. I would like to major in veterinary medicine because I love animals. I love volleyball so my main goal is to play with a team and have fun. I want to make a difference in the team not just be a water girl. I am attempting to recieve an athletic scholarship but  I realize this may be difficult to do. That is my main goal, but if I cannot obtain it I will keep trying my best.
