I am a 5'8" outside hitter from Peekskill, NY and will be graduating with the class of 2022. I have started on the John F. Kennedy Catholic Varsity volleyball team since my freshman year. This year, I led my team to win the City Championship and to the State Finals, and I won "All-League" in the CHSAA. I have been court captain of my club team this season and have been told by coaches that I have the strongest and fastest arm swing in the club. I value all the lessons this sport has taught me on and off the court about self-confidence and being a team player. Prior to playing volleyball, I have been doing Taekwondo for 10 years, and I am a second-degree black belt. I am fluent in three languages (English, German, and Italian), since my father was born and raised in Italy, and my mother in Germany. I have a 3.6 GPA, I am in the Honors program in my school, and received 1110 on the PSAT this year.
Ideally, I would like to attend a larger school in the South, where I can find the right balance between sports and academics. I am interested in any school that offers Athletic Training and Sports Business programs, as well as a competitive volleyball program where I can make a positive impact on the team. Any financial assistance would be very important to me in this college selection process since my parents are both immigrants from Europe.
