I am very excited to explore college volleyball opportunities. Having started playing volleyball at age 7 and joining my first team at age 8, the sport has always been an important part of my life and will continue to be. I look forward to the opportunity to pursue this passion in college.
I am quite versatile in regards to volleyball positions played. I have the most experience as a middle and right side hitter in both club and varsity, but I have played a fair amount as a six rotation outside at school games and tournaments as well. I have always made good connections with my teammates. We effectively communicate on and off the court. I make sure to always be encouraging and give positive feedback to teammates, as well as listen to their advice. I am constantly learning from my coaches, my teammates, and myself on how to improve my game, and I will continue to work on all skills.
I work hard in school and put forth my best effort to maintain a high GPA. I play the euphonium in the school wind ensemble, as well as piano outside of school. I enjoy taking part in community service projects with my school volleyball team and club volleyball team. I volunteer as a helper for VolleyKids, a program to get young kids involved in and interested in volleyball. I also periodically help out at the local animal shelter and perform at piano recitals for residents at a local nursing home.
Looking to the future, I have a strong interest in attending a college with a good nursing program as well as having the opportunity to pursue collegiate volleyball. I would love to find out more from colleges that can offer both of these important parts to my future. I look forward to being able to show others my commitment to and love for volleyball!
