2020 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I am currently 18 years old and a senior at Thomas High School in Webster, NY. I am in my 8th year of competitive volleyball this club season. However I have been playing volleyball since the 3rd grade played on modified in 7th grade and was the only 8th grader on the high schools JV team. I have tried most sports from soccer and basketball to golf and tennis, but then I realized that all I wanted to do is play volleyball. The reason why I wanted to play volleyball out of all the other sports I have tried is that when you meet your teammates you already know that you can count on them on and off the court and vice versa. Academics are just as important as athletics. I have been on High Honor Roll with Distinction for both 6th and 7th grade and on the High Honor Roll for 8th grade. I have also received an Artistic Achievement Award in 7th grade. I participate in my schools Drama Club where I was the backstage leader and I was also on the dance team for my school where we participated in fundraisers for breast cancer. I have also volunteered to help coach 4-9 year old volleyball. I am very interested at receiving a high level education along with playing volleyball at a collegiate level.
