My name is Hannah Grundy. I am a 6’1, 135 lb. outside Hitter from Oklahoma City, OK, and I Will graduate with the class of 2020. I have two years of varsity experience on my high school team, and five years of club experience.
I have a great love for volleyball. Not only am I passionate about the game itself, but also the team aspect of volleyball. I believe that a great team leader is dedicated to pushing themself and their teammates to be the best they can be through encouragement and support. I know that I can bring this leadership and dedication to any team, and believe that I can contribute to the team with my disciplined work ethic, strong character traits and morals, and desire to always be improving.
My athletic achievements include playing on my high school’s varsity team as a freshmen, lettering my freshmen and sophomore years, and making my club’s top team consistently for five years. In addition to my achievements on the volleyball court, I am also extremely proud of my achievements in the classroom. During my two years in high school, I have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.8 at a college preparatory school, and am a member of The National Honor Society. I am also very proud of my service to my community. I have volunteered on numerous occasions in both my school and church communities, and have volunteered for several events with different charitable organizations.
It is a dream of mine to attend a school located on a coast as I have a love for the ocean. Though that is a dream of mine, I am open to any geographic region that has the right school for me. I am open to different types of schools as far as size and division level go, but I would like to attend a school with a high academic level and that offers my desired major of physical therapy.
My aspirations for college are to play volleyball and be a part of a team, to work hard and be successful in school, earn a degree in Physical Therapy so that I can continue to help people and make an impact in the lives of others, and to inspire people and leave a legacy through the person I am. Some athletic goals of mine are to play collegiate volleyball at the highest level possible, to make an impact on a team, and to improve as a player and a person.
