Getting to the semi-finals in the PRHSAA as a junior has been one of the highlights of my high school year. Not only did my team and I get there, but we also were invited to the Buzzer Beater and got ranked #27. I consider this to be a major accomplishment coming from division 2 and surpassing other teams and winning division one teams. Though it ended early for us, I for one acquired a better understanding of the game, and the importance of not giving up and become the leader after the team has had a slump. Thanks to this experience it will help me next year as a senior, but it also will help me to refocus on my own efforts on becoming a libero capable of playing at a college level.
Besides excelling in the sports this year as a student-athlete, I personally believe I have progressed, from years before. I have become more organized and have begun using better study habits that have allowed me to be the best at what is most important, my grades. This is just the beginning of my junior year, yet I feel prepared for the challenges that are yet to come.
