Volleyball has always been a passion of mine. I love the game and what it has to offer. The teamwork involved is something I have never experienced with any other sport. Being a setter, I have learned what it means to be a true leader on, and off the court. How to be vocal and demand more from my team. I've been playing club for 7 years, and recently joined Austin Skyline's 17 Black National Team, also being apart of the Leadership Council Committee and the Team Captain. This past year I made the Junior Varsity team for Round Rock High School and finished up our season being undefeated district champions. Aside from our 2 hour team practices twice a week for club, I am in the gym for 5 extra hours a week doing private lessons, continuing this regimen even after the season is over as well as playing sand volleyball during the off-season. Maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout the school year, you can count on me to be focused on academics and you can be rest assured that I'll be eligible to play. One thing that I can take away from playing for quite a while now is that volleyball has made me a more confident person overall and has contributed to shaping me of who I am.
My goal is to continue playing through the collegiate level on a competitive team, preferably in Texas, but I'm open to wherever an opportunity is available. I am looking to major in biology, to later become an Otolaryngologist after I complete all of my trainings and residencies. Overall, volleyball is considered my outlet for many aspects of my life, and I am willing to exert my full effort and engagement for the entire duration that I'm out there on the court.
