MAKAYLA VILLARREAL '21 Recruiting Profile

For as long as I can remember, I have always strived to be a better athlete and competitor from a young age. In the future, I aim to be able to compete in NCAA college volleyball. For my entire volleyball career I have played with Asics Willowbrook on the top teams as Libero. This year I'm on 17 gold as a Libero/DS. My goals in volleyball for this year are high, I’m constantly striving to my best. Throughout my years of playing the sport, my ambition was to compete in college. The standards are high for me, and I seek for my team to qualify for the OPEN division and of course go to Junior Olympics. I have always been passionate about my team, and the way we connect together. I am a team player, I put my team before anything else, they are like my second family. We hold each other accountable for our mistakes, which makes us a better and more advanced in the way we play. Academically, I always aim to have the best grades possible for me. I take school very seriously and it's a priority that I put academics before the sport that I love the most.
