Hello! My name is Ella Weber and I am a 2024 setter from Sun Prairie, WI. I am 5'10" and right-handed. I started volleyball in 7th grade when our gym teacher and volleyball coach asked me to try out. After a few weeks, the varsity volleyball coach encouraged me to become a setter. Since then I have not only learned the game, but also the intangibles. The intangibles are things that cannot be taught, and some ways are more important than the skill a player has. Playing volleyball has taught me to have resilience, leadership, and integrity, along with the ability to work with others. While I love playing volleyball, I also have many academic goals. A big goal of mine is to major in Pre-Medicine and become a pediatric surgeon. I think the sport of volleyball shares many qualties with those of a surgeon such as listening, leadership, and working with others. I prefer a division school, but am open to all options. To me, volleyball is not about being the most skillful player on the court, rather how hard you work, your leadership, and what kind of teammate you are. Everytime I am on the court I try to better my self as a player, teammate, and person.
