Nicole Dann-Payne, Nutrition Coach

Nicole is a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) and licensed dietitian nutritionist (LDN). Additionally, she is a board-certified sports dietitian (CSSD), which is a premier sports nutrition credential held by dietitians who work with professional, elite, and top-level collegiate athletes.

Nicole is a graduate of Mansfield University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in both nutrition and dietetics, and sports nutrition. While at Mansfield University, Nicole was a 4-year collegiate athlete participating in field hockey, indoor and outdoor track & field, and one season of cross country. Nicole advanced and competed at the 2007 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 1500 m.

Nicole completed her dietetic internship and Master of Science degree in Food & Nutrition at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) where she served as the sports nutrition graduate assistant for IUP Athletics.

For the last few years, Nicole worked as a district dietitian for Aramark Collegiate Hospitality assisting students with the navigation of dining options including supporting students who were managing unique dietary needs and educating athletes and athletic teams on fueling principles and strategies while dining on campus. For 10 years (2010-2021), Nicole was an adjunct faculty member in the department of Food and Nutrition at IUP. Where for 8 years, she served as the faculty director of the Food and Nutrition department’s “Sports Performance Nutrition Services”, which served IUP Athletics. From 2016-2021, Nicole served as an outpatient dietitian and health coach for Indiana Regional Medical Center’s (IRMC) Institute for Healthy Living and Corporate Wellness Team. While at IRMC, Nicole lead the development and execution of sports nutrition services. Lastly, for 15 years, she has been an assistant track and field coach and assistant cross country coach at Marion Center Area High School. She assisted coaching the Marion Center girl’s cross country team to winning the 2018 PIAA Single A State Championship and PIAA runner up in 2019.

As a runner, Nicole placed 8th in the 2013 Pittsburgh Marathon. The following year, she ran in the 2014 Boston Marathon. Nicole continues to pursue an active lifestyle including hiking, running, cycling, skiing, yoga, and enjoying the outdoors.
