2021 SpotlightPersonal Statement
I’ve always known I wanted to play baseball ever since I was a little kid throwing ball in the yard with my dad or watching the Braves with my Grandma. Since I was nine, I’ve always had a passion for leading my team on the mound and competing against my opponent. Something about being on the bump and pushing yourself is just special to me.
The impact I’ll have on a collegiate level baseball team, is my ability to lead on and off the field, vocally and through my actions. I also believe I will be able to be a student athlete and not just an athlete, by working just as hard in the classroom as on the field. I will contribute most to the team by competing on the mound, while being able to strike batters out but also pitch to contact when needed.
My goal as a baseball player is to compete with myself and make me and my teammates better every day. I really challenge myself on the field to do whatever I possibly can to win, because I feel if I’m doing that I will always be doing my job.
