August 2016 Personal Statement
My name is Cade Gossett and I LOVE the game of baseball. I work hard everyday to earn a chance to play baseball at the college level and to hopefully coach someday also at the college level. I have played since I was four years old. I also play basketball but baseball is my first love which is why I work on my baseball skills year round. My greatest strengths are my base running and my ability to play multiple positions. My primary positions are 2nd and catcher, but I also play 3rd, short, outfield and I can throw a nasty knuckle-ball.
I am as serious a student as I am an athlete. I am ranked 2nd in my class of 151 students. I love to read and learn and would like to earn an education degree. It is important to me to lead my classmates by showing honesty, hard work and making GOOD decisions. I feel that I am a leader on the field, in the classroom and in my school and community. I am a team player. I enjoy personal success but I am most proud when my team is successful.
