Hitting my first homerun in my first High School at-bat was an intense start to my road to college! It was a great accomplishment, but a better lesson for me as a player and person. The lesson… I can do things that I didn’t think I was capable of by just working hard, and staying inside myself. I started playing baseball when I was five in Indiana. My family is as athletic as one comes. My older brother is a two sport athlete (baseball and football). My sister plays volleyball. My younger brother plays football and baseball. We get our passion for the games from our Parents. My father played college baseball at Lee University, and that’s where he met my Mother who played both basketball and volleyball at Lee. I have learned that moving from Indiana to Florida to Georgia to Alabama has taught me one thing, sports language is universal. Using what I know about baseball has led me to never meet a stranger on the ball field. It has allowed me to become a better student, teammate, player, and person.
My travels in life has brought me to some amazing places athletically. I have really come into my own when I moved to Marietta, Georgia (Harrison High School). I learned about the process of practice, the promise of trusting the process, and the truths about the game of baseball through Doyle’s NextLVL Sports Institute. I feel starting on varsity as a sophomore (Foley High School) has given me a jump start on the next two years of my high school career. I am excited about what the future holds in the realm of higher education. I will be an asset to any college campus I set foot on, and to any program whose name would be across my chest. I am undecided on my major, but have had two different interests in my occupation post school. One involves my love for animals in becoming a Veterinarian. The second possibility is being a video game designer as I do love to play the occasional video games. As far as play on the field goes… I will play anywhere the coach writes my name down on the line-up card. My primary position has been Catcher, and Thirdbase. I believe in leading mostly by example, talk is cheap if you do not back it up. I know I am more than capable of playing at any level, and on any field. After all they are all the same size since I was 13 years old!
