My passion for baseball began in my living room as a two year old with a plastic bat hitting pitches thrown by my dad. I would hit the ball and run around the room until I reached "home plate". My mom moved our love for the game to the backyard when I started hitting the living room walls. When I was four years old, my parents took me to sign up for baseball and I was so disappointed when they discovered I had to wait another year. They signed me up for soccer instead and I played one year as I waited to play baseball. At five years old, I became a baseball player and I've been playing baseball year-round ever since.
My family, along with playing baseball and football my whole life, has shaped me into the disciplined and appreciative student-athlete that I am. I am thankful for parents who taught me at a young age that it takes hard work to reach your goals in life. My academic goals include graduating with an Honors Diploma which requires the completion of fourteen honors/AP level classes and finishing in the top ten students in my graduating class. My baseball goals are continuous improvement of my skill level and being the best player I can be to help my team. As a good defensive catcher that hits for both power and average and understands the value of hard work and teamwork, I know that I can be a leader on your team.
