My name is Kristian Wheeler and I am a Senior attending Pisgah High School, Pisgah, Alabama. I am a very dedicated student athlete. I enjoy learning in the classroom as well as on the baseball field; and I enjoy sharing my knowledge of baseball with my teammates. I have played on the Pisgah varsity baseball team since my sophomore year (the year I moved to Alabama from Tennessee). During my sophomore and junior years I earned the “All County” and “All Area” awards for my play. This year I am the starting varsity pitcher for the Pisgah Eagles and look forward to leading our team to a winning season, our County tournaments, and quite possibly a playoff berth in our State tournament!
To say I am passionate about baseball is an understatement. As far back in life as I can remember, a baseball glove, bat and ball are present. My fondest childhood memories are of those involving baseball. I completely apply my entire self to the game and I work very hard for my achievements. My daily activities focus on academic, athletic, and personal self-improvement; as I cannot achieve the next level of competitive baseball without achieving the next level of academics and personal growth. I not only want to improve as a player but also as a person. As a leader on and off the baseball field, I seek to mentor my teammates and connect with them on a personal level. I consider them family.
I am open to any collegiate opportunity to further my education and I will cherish the opportunity of playing competitive baseball. I am blessed and extremely excited at the chance of pursuing my advanced academic and athletic goals. As a collegiate student athlete, I will push myself through any difficulties or obstacles I encounter. I will always contribute 110% of my self to accomplish my goals. Every time I step onto the baseball field I enter my “home away from home”; the “diamond” is the place where I belong.
