Christopher Maxwell '19 Recruiting Profile

   My name is Christopher Maxwell, I am a sophomore at Shawnee Community College in Illinois. I am primarily a Catcher, I can play the corners, and right field. I have around a 3.8 GPA, I try to take my school work very seriously. I have been on the deans and presidents lists every semester. My goal is to be the best team player I can be and to continue to play the game as long as I can to the fullest. 

   I am a very good defensive catcher, in most games I have to block 25+ pitches, most are wild pitches all over. This fall I allowed three balls to get by in 100+ attempts. I‘ve thrown many runners out, on both dirt ball reads and stolen base attempts. I understand batters well and have good pitch calling skills. I swing the bat very well also. I had a .368 B.A. this fall with a .571 O.B.P. in around 28 plate appearances. I am the type of player that will give my all and will keep pushing when my body has taken a toll. I will definitely give what I have for my teammates and coaches to be able to win!
