Edmonton is in Canada and is well known for producing high level hockey players, not baseball players. At the age of 6 I started out as a hockey player and played for 8 years. I also played club volleyball, including playing for U16 Team Alberta in 2017; but baseball has always been the sport I love the most. Standing on the mound and dominating another team is a great feeling.
My goal has always been to play baseball for a Division I or II college and if possible play for a school where you can play outside more than 5 months out of the year. I have pitched baseball games at minus 3 (26 Fahrenheit) with snow on the ground.
I was a dominant pitcher up until the age of 16. I played for a U18 team at the Perfect Game when I was 16 and was dominant at that time. My development stalled in June of 2018 when I developed an ulnar nerve problem while pitching for the Canada Cup Team. I eventually required an ulnar nerve release in November of 2018. It took me all of 2019 to recover and get back to where I was previously. I am now back on the mound and throwing without any problems. I worked hard every day through rehab, knowing that in the end it would make me mentally stronger. I have now completely recovered and am ready for the next level.
I have always been a hard worker, a good student and an excellent athlete. I am committed to putting in the time and effort required to become an outstanding pitcher and student athlete. My career aspirations are computing science and I recognize the time and dedication I will need to put into my academics while playing collegiate level ball.
