My name is Luke Mann and I am an infielder/utility player in the class of 2025 at Mountain Pointe High School. Playing baseball in Arizona is great because I have the opportunity to work hard all year round. I’m the first one to the field and the last one off getting my work in. I am always spreading positivity and encouraging teammates on the field and my peers in the classroom. I get along well with my teammates and coaches and I’m blessed to be a part of a great team and family-like culture in our High School program. There is respect to everyone, no matter if you are an incoming freshman, or a D-1 bound senior. I have learned so much from my teammates and have applied these qualities to my life. Even through difficulties on and off the field, I persevere through it and look for the best in every situation. I have been blessed with amazing coaches that have pushed me to be my best in order to prepare me for the next level. My hitting coach has worked with me for over a year on the mental side of the game, which has led to the confidence I have on the field.
The higher the level of competition I play, the more I love this game. I enjoy being in the presence of great players because it pushes me to work harder and improve my game. A characteristic that I have that would benefit your program is that I hold myself to a high standard. I am always pushing myself towards being a better athlete, teammate, and person. I hold myself to this standard not only on the field, but in the classroom as well. I challenge myself academically by taking higher level classes and currently have a 4.5 weighted GPA. My goal is to play baseball at the highest level possible while continuing my academic career.
