I stepped onto a baseball diamond at the age of 3 years old and instantly fell in love with the game. I am a team player and always choose the team success over mine. I am also a leader on the field and was named team captain for both my freshman team and my summer club team this past year. I’m a player that will handle anything in front of me and will do anything the coach asks of me whether it’s put a bunt down, steal, hit and run, or hit one in the gap. I’m also known for my effort and attitude always encouraging teammates. I always go 120% on and off the field. I love being a two sport athlete! I’m a starting quarterback, wide receiver, and corner on my high school football team. I’m a fighter, great competitor and an awesome teammate. I am an avid student of the game I constantly study situation in positions to ensure that I’m ready when called to play.
I want to challenge myself at the next level which is why I want to go on to a college that will challenge me on the field and in the classroom. I am open to any school that takes a shot with me and will be forever grateful, humble & excited wherever this journey takes me. My dream is to play collegiate baseball, win the national championship, graduate and play in the MLB. I know these goals will take determination, grit, and relentlessness. These three characteristics have shaped who I am as a person.
I do the same in the classroom. I’m a student athlete with a GPA of 4.19 this year. I made the Principal’s list and am hoping for a 4.0 this fall. In the community I belong to a volunteer group called “boys team charity” as well as volunteer with my classmates. I volunteer more than 30 hours a year and I love it. I am always looking to give back whenever I can and serve people that have less than me.
I battle setbacks everyday of my life. I was diagnosed with type one diabetes at the ag of eight, and celiac disease at age 14. Last summer I surgery to remove a baseball size lipoma from my abdomen. It was the scariest five days of my life, however I was back playing football 4 weeks later. The adversity and struggle to live with these things haven’t slowed me down.
