My name is Ben Keton. I am a 6-2 Junior at Tuckerman High School. I am a two sport athlete, playing both baseball and basketball. I have lettered in both sports my freshman, sophomore and junior years.
As a freshman, sophomore and junior, I have been a starter for the varsity baseball team. I won the “Silver Slugger” award as a freshman and lead the team in HRs with a .982 fielding percentage as a sophomore, playing middle infield, third base and all outfield positions. As a Junior, I helped lead our team to a 20-9 record. We were Conference Champs and District Champs. I was named to the All-Conference team. I also won the “Gold Glove” award. I played 8 different positions this season.
I was the “sixth man” for the varsity basketball team as a sophomore and a starter this year as a junior.
Being a two sport athlete, I have experienced what it takes to work hard to compete at a high level while maintaining a 3.67 GPA. Currently, I am taking honors and “concurrent credit” classes and will be an “Honor Graduate”. As a Sophomore, I was inducted into the National BETA Club and was the President if my Sophomore class.
I have been a student athlete my entire career and hope to continue to grow and learn in these areas as I prepare for the next stage of my life.
