January 2015My immediate goal is to play College Baseball. I played both Baseball and Hockey at the highest level until I was 15 when time dictated that I choose one to be able to properly train and develop. I have a drive to win and a competitive spirit. I am always trying to challenge myself to go further. I am committed to any team I play for and will work hard to find success. I have good Leadership and Teamwork abilities and am a valuable asset to my team and coach. I am reliable and responsible. I have always been very athletic and believe I was good at both sports, but I truly LOVED hockey at that time, so perhaps I chose a more challenging path. Over time I realized that I missed baseball, and have decided that I can probably have more success and opportunities returning to baseball than in hockey. I have been training daily in the gym and at Cross Fit. Despite my success in Hockey, I have not been able to generate the opportunities I desired. (I was drafted by the Kenai River Brown Bears, NAHL in the 4th round 87th overall. I recently participated in the USA Hockey Select 17 National Festival as a member of the Grey team. I played for the Delta Ice Hawks in the PJHL in B.C..I was selected to play in the league all-star game as well as the first year prospects all-star game.I attended the main camp for the Surrey Eagles of the B.C.H.L. Sept./14.) I feel this has actually aided my development and character as I have had to learn to persevere in the face of adversity or unfair circumstances. I have had to examine myself, learn from my mistakes and keep moving forward. I have had to really analyze my own potential and work ethic in order to refocus and set new goals. Prior to focusing on hockey full time I played at the AAA level in Bantam and for Team BC in the previous year. I also played one year in the Junior Premier Baseball League for the Fraser Valley Chiefs. Following my graduation from High School last year, I returned with the support of my former coach, John Haar to the Sands Secondary Baseball Academy to work on getting game ready in Baseball. I have worked with him, my teacher Kevin Dalgetty, Bob Burkmar and Wayne Corness from the University of British Columbia (UBC) baseball team, and I hope to be able to play in league play this spring, either in the Premier Baseball League or another local college league to complete my preparation to enter college ball. I enjoy Golf, Movies, Working out and spending time with my friends. I attend Pacific Community Church with my family. Ultimately, I would like to play in the MLB or professional Baseball somewhere. I want to have an education that will sustain me and my future family when Baseball is no longer an option for me as a player. I am interested in pursuing my own business in training young players in the game of Baseball.
