Thank you for taking the time to consider me for your baseball program. Since I was 10 years old I have devoted my life to academics and baseball. I plan on taking both these to the next level through attending college in the United States. Determination, hard work, and focus have made me into the person I am today in the classroom and on the diamond. I consider myself a quiet leader, being the first to get to the field and the last to leave. My number one mind set is the team always comes first. One thing I take extreme pride in is that I don’t take anything for granted because I have a twin brother with autism who has to work just as hard as I do just to do the basic things in life. I am always looking for ways to have an edge on my opponents, whether that is by taking extra reps in practice or looking up the starting pitchers video tape online before I head to the field. I am 6 foot 1 inch and 185 pounds; my 60-yard time is 7.5 seconds. Last year I had a .271 batting average with a .419 on base percentage. I play for the North Shore Twins, a travel team based out of North Vancouver, Canada in the British Columbia Premier Baseball League. In 2015, we won the BCPBL regular season title, the BCPBL Provincial championships and finished 2nd at the National Tournament.
I am currently going into my sophomore year at Douglas College (NWAC) I am looking to go to a 4 year school which has an extremely high level of baseball as well as which offers Arts and Communications Majors. This past summer I play in the West Coast League for the Victoria Harbourcats in which we finished 2nd in the league as well as we were ranked the 25th best summer league team in North America, I was the starting catcher for every playoff game as well as the last few weeks of the regular season in where I faced NCAA Division 1 competition every day in which I learned I can compete at the highest level of college baseball their is to offer.
Thank you for helping me achieve my childhood dream.
