Baseball has always been an essential part of my life. Even more important than the skills I have developed as a player are the life lessons I have learned about being a leader, the importance of respect, and believing that hard work will support me in reaching my goals. These lessons have contributed to my success both on and off the field.
Playing baseball in college has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. Throughout the years, I have played all positions which gives me a great perspective of the game and helps me to be a true leader on my team. I focus on the outfield and first base. I firmly believe that playing every position when I was younger significantly contributed to my versatility and ability to play these positions at a high level.
As a student, I have always pushed myself to take challenging courses and maintain strong grades. Being a part of my high school’s Kinesiology and Sports Medicine Academy has blended my love of athletics and my interest in the medical field. In college, I would like to continue to build on these interests and am currently exploring majors related to my interests, including kinesiology, emergency medical services, or fire science.
From my early love of sports to my biggest obstacle so far, overcoming injury during high school athletics, my experiences on the field, and the support I’ve received from my coaches, family, and teammates, reinforced these lessons.
