Antonio Maldonado '24 Recruiting Profile

Baseball is my passion and has become a huge part of my life. I have been playing since I was 4 years old.  I have played in many leagues such as Little League, Babe Ruth, travel ball, American Legion and now will be going into my 3rd year of varsity high school baseball. This has given me many experiences in which to learn and grow as a player. I am a 16 year old, 5’10”, 165lbs, multiple sport athlete and going into my senior year of high school.

I come from a small school where my baseball program is not a priority and gets pushed aside. At times, it has been a struggle for my school to field a team just to compete. As I have a lot of pride for the representation of my school, this has made me work harder on my skills, so I could be the best asset to my team. I always pride myself in my hard work I put in when no one else is working. I am the first and last player at my practices and put in work on my days off. With these learned experiences, I will bring good character, tough mental and moral qualities to your team. The same hard work I put on the field I have also applied to my schooling, extra curricular activities and basketball. I continue to maintain a 4.0+ gpa, while playing multiple sports and being an elected officer for my schools FFA program (Future Farmers of America).

My overall experiences, with playing in multiple leagues and teams has allowed me to be around many different athletes and coaches. I have great qualities I bring to any team; I am a team player and get along well with fellow teammates and coaches. I always follow directions, I am ready for anything at any time, and I have a positive attitude and encourage others.

I am open to any kind of school as that I have not yet narrowed down my exact major that I would like to complete. Right now, my goal is to get to the next level. I am looking forward to finding a school that fits me, allows me to have a well-rounded college experience consisting of a great education, and gives me the chance of fulfilling my lifelong dream of playing baseball at the collegiate level.
