As a scholar-athlete, I push myself to excel everyday. My personal goal is to work both harder and smarter than my competitive peer group. Everyday I look to improve my skills from where they were the day before. There's nothing I love more than stepping on the field and getting ready to play baseball.
During my freshman season, I was a starting pitcher, as well as, the starting shortstop. The summer after my freshman year, I spent a month getting advanced pitching training at Ron Wolforth's Texas Baseball Ranch. As a sophomore, I was the starting shortstop and a relief pitcher on the varsity team.
My future baseball goals are to play at the college level and eventually in the MLB. I hope to attend a college that can challenge me both in academics and in athletics. I believe through my hard work and perseverance in baseball and academics that I will reach my future goals.
