Hi coach, my name is Andy Rios. I have a great baseball IQ with versatile skills. I'm a team player and a leader on the field and in the dugout. I can play SS, 2B, 3B and can pitch. I throw in the mid 80's. I'm a gap line drive hitter with power that can hit to all fields. I'm clam when on the field and know how to control my emotions. I have played in some of the highest profile games in front of over 40K fans and was in the 2009 Little League World Series in Williamsport PA where my team from Park View LL won the LLWS. I was also on the 2010 Pony13 WS team that won the Pony WS in Fullerton CA. I have played international ball with San Diego Team USA and played in Japan (2011) and Australia (2012). I have played varsity water polo for two years.
Academically I try to maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher. I know the importance of being a student athlete and I know how to manage my time, both academically and sports making sure that all school work and training is done. I have been selected to the UT All Academic Team in both baseball and water polo.
